Contrary to what some may believe, preparing grilled cod recipes doesn’t have to be time consuming. Here are some tasty treats you can whip up when those hunger pangs for grilled food hits you.
Cod with Lemon Juice and Worcestershire Sauce
Ingredients
Worcestershire sauce
2 thinly sliced lemons
2 to 2 1/2 lbs cod steaks or fillets
Dash of garlic powder
1/3 cup of melted butter
Directions
Combine the garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce and butter. Brush this mixture on the cod sides. The hinged broiler rack has to be greased. On one side of the rack, put the lemon slices. Put the cod over the lemon slices.
Place the remaining lemon slices on top of the cod. Close the rack. Cook with coals for 5 minutes. Flip the fish over. Keep cooking until the fish flakes easily.
Easy Cod with Seasonings
Ingredients
2 lbs cod fillets or steaks
1 cup of marinade sauce (use your own or the one provided for here)
For the marinade:
1/8 tsp rosemary
1/8 tsp tarragon
1/4 tsp seafood seasoning
1/4 tsp lemon and pepper seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp prepared mustard
1/2 cup of dry white wine (or water)
1/4 cup of butter

To make the marinade for this grilled cod recipe, follow these steps.
After melting the butter in a skillet, add the marinade ingredients. Cook the mixture in low heat. Stop when the mixture has blended well and it is warm. To prepare the cod, start by slicing the fish into bite size portions. Put these in the greased hinged wire hand grill.
Baste the cod with the marinade sauce. Place the cod about four inches over medium hot coals. Cook the cod for five minutes. Baste it and flip it over. Cook it again for 5 minutes, baste and flip it over. Cook for another 15 minutes.
Quick Grilled Fish
Ingredients
Dash of pepper
Dash of garlic
Salt
1/2 small chopped onion
4 oz. plain Italian dressing
2 tbsp butter
1 lb of cod (or more if you like)
Directions
Get some tin foil and put the cod in it. Add all the other ingredients there. Seal the foil and grill it for 15 minutes. The cod is cooked when the cod starts to flake. This dish is best served hot.
Just like other grilled cod recipes, you can add other ingredients to the marinade. If you don’t want to make one, there are ready made sauces available in stores. You can choose from spicy, sweet and many others.
